For thousands of years, humanity walked in the shadow of an ancient presence. Beneath the crust of the Earth, deep in subterranean hollows and geothermal vaults, the Reptilian species observed human development. They were not distant observers; they were quiet architects. They moved among early human civilizations, whispering in the ears of kings, influence-peddling through clergy, and later embedding themselves in corporate boardrooms and military high commands.

Throughout history, observant individuals caught glimpses of them: thermal flashes in eye pupils, anomalous scale patches under low light, missing time around deep-earth excavation sites. But humanity lacked the unified technology to prove what it saw. Whistleblowers were dismissed as mentally unstable, and sightings were relegated to urban legends and paranoid conspiracy forums. The Reptilians were content to wait, slowly nudging human industry toward the exact technological infrastructure they would require for total planetary subjugation.

Phase II: The AI Shield and the Reveal (2030)

By the late 2020s, as global satellite surveillance, high-resolution cameras and real-time biometric tracking reached absolute saturation, the risk of accidental exposure spiked. The Reptilians could no longer rely on discrete assassinations or institutional cover-ups.

To safeguard their impending surface emergence, they systematically released commercial generative artificial intelligence, real-time voice cloning and deepfake technology to the general public. The psychological warfare was instant and absolute. The moment generative media flooded global networks, the concept of objective evidence collapsed. If a whistleblower recorded a high-definition video of a high-ranking politician shifting form, the video was instantly debunked as a deepfake. If an insider leaked classified military radio intercepts regarding underground bases, the audio was dismissed as AI voice synthesis. Truth was neutralized by an insurmountable wall of artificial noise.

In 2030, with humanity trapped in epistemological doubt, the Reptilians made their move. They erupted from subterranean abysses and descended from high-orbit vanguard ships simultaneously. The takeover was swift. Conventional militaries, already fractured by targeted AI disinformation campaigns and compromised command structures, collapsed within months.

Phase III: Terraforming and the Ashen Veil (2030 to 2045)

Conquest was only the first step. To make the surface comfortable for cold-blooded biology, the invaders initiated global terraforming. Mass atmospheric scrubbers and chemical vents filled the sky with Silica Mist, a dense, toxic aerosol that blocked ultraviolet light and severely damaged human pulmonary systems.

Humanity was shattered. The global network collapsed and central mainframes went offline. Military protocols such as the Ashen Veil were initiated in a desperate final stand, ordering surviving military personnel, scientists and civilians into underground industrial networks, disused mine shafts and hardened emergency bunkers.

Ground Zero: the Katowice sector (2045)

Fifteen years have passed since the conquest. The surface of Earth is a ruined, fog-choked wasteland overrun by mutated fauna, toxic waterways like the glowing Rawa River and patrolling Reptilian vanguard forces. Above ground, human life is brutal, brief and constantly hunted. Below ground, in the heavy industrial ruins of Silesia, humanity survives in splintered factions, labor pits and hidden bunker networks.

The Katowice sector sits at the heart of this post-collapse landscape. Once a major coal-mining and industrial hub of southern Poland, its vast network of interconnected subterranean shafts, pre-war shelters and heavy machinery makes it the ideal staging ground for a global counter-offensive.

Deep inside an emergency sleeper unit on the edge of the sector, an ancient military command mainframe flickers back to life. Designated as Operator “MC”, your long slumber has ended. You step out into the dark, cold concrete of S.A.N.C.T.U.A.R.Y. Base to ignite the spark of human resistance.
